Happy New Year to all my faithful followers

Massachusetts Barn (above)

I love to travel on the roads less traveled on, ones that lead off into the forest. Where do they go?

I was in the small town of Heath in Massachusetts which had several roads radiating out from the village center. Which one should I take? As I love to explore, I decided to try the one heading south with the hope that sooner or later it would connect with the Mohawk Trail, which bisects the northern part of the state from Greenfield to North Adams. Driving contentedly through the forests, I had no intention of taking photographs until, out of the corner of my eye, there was a barn. A big barn! I had to capture it. I pulled into a small drive way, got out of the car and there it was. Not magnificent but it was a BARN!! What do you think? Was it worth stopping?

I had put in a new clothes drier in my house but it had been vented into a laundry sink. To survive when drying, I had to open all the windows and doors to let out the steam. Something had to be done and I called for help. Ken appeared. As he pulled into my driveway and strode to the rear of his truck, he began taking gear out of the back. He was a wonderful looking man with a ruddy face. You had to love him with his great smile. Here he is.
