old rusty pipes 2
I seem to be living in North Adams and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) these days. The buildings most recently were inhabited by Sprague Electric. When Sprague went out of business the buildings were let vacant until they were given to a new entity, MASS MoCA, which gloried in their industrial environment for displaying often huge works of art.. But today it was the building themselves that I found enchanting, particularly the Boiler Building. The old rusty pipes and heating units are fascinating in themselves. Here are three. I don't know enough about plumbing and heating to give them names.

This page contains photos and stories being gathered for my book on Vermont.
