Atlantic Antics - Clown

Atlantic Antics – Clown

Once a year the Borough of Brooklyn had what was called “Atlantic Antics”. It took place on Atlantic Avenue. What attracted me was the bright colors of the clown. If the viewers computer can show the photo large enough, you can see the texture of the skin coming through the makeup. This is in sharp contrast to some of the black and white photos I’ve been doing lately.

Koveskal - Thatching a roof

Koveskal – Thatching a roof

This morning I happen to see a book about Vincent van Gogh on my shelve and took it out to go through some wonderful painting. Some earlier paintings of workers reminded me of a photo I had taken in Hungary in the little town of Koveskal. It was of two men repairing a thatched roof. Here it is. Hope you like it.

Boat anchored on the Balaton

Boat anchored on the Balaton

I’d forgotten about this photo.

Lake Balaton in  Hungary is the largest lake in central Europe. My sister-in-law lives within walking distance of the shore. One day I was strolling near the beach and saw this boat waiting to be used. The wonderful coloring on the silky water and the boat itself caught my imagination. Here it is.
