Trees have always been interesting to photographers, particularly birch trees their tall, narrow trunks with white bark shining in the sun. Recently I saw a whole wall in The Clark Museum showing undulating birch trees.

In East Dover, Vermont, is an ancient tree, the largest birch I’ve ever seen.

A few days ago I was on my way home, just days before a huge snow storm, and stopped to enjoy a group of birch trees made even more interesting by one tree that was bent over.
